Collaboration with Adapt Ability Autism Services

Today we had the incredible opportunity to host an art class with some of the amazing clients from Adapt Ability Autism Services — and what a beautiful experience it was! The creativity, enthusiasm, and individuality each child brought to the table truly made the session unforgettable.
One of the most meaningful parts of the day was witnessing how intentional the staff, including the owner and the BCBAs, were in encouraging the use of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices. They weren’t just there to supervise — they were actively involved in empowering the kids to express themselves using their own voices, in their own unique ways.
It was a powerful reminder that communication doesn’t always look or sound the same for everyone, and that every child deserves to be heard, understood, and supported — especially in creative spaces where expression is everything. I left today feeling inspired, grateful, and even more committed to creating inclusive environments where all children feel seen, valued, and free to be themselves.
Thank you, Adapt Ability Autism Services for the work you do and for allowing us to be a small part of your clients’ journeys today. We can’t wait to do it again!

We had such a great time with Start with Art yesterday. Charlene thought of everything and had the environment ready to go to support our clients. From thinking about a break space , making us aware of exits, to setting up to promote calm and allow plenty of personal space. She took the time to interact with each client and get to know their own individual interests and preferences. This was such a great opportunity for our kids to learn in a natural setting how to attend to an activity, self-advocate, and communicate!” – Owner Jesse Vaughn from Adapt Ability Autism Services
