Empowering Youth Through Art

Start with Art is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the well-being of youth through creative expression, education, and community engagement. We provide free and low-cost art programming that fosters emotional resilience, literacy, and healthy coping skills for children and teens—especially those in underserved and low-to-moderate income communities.

Our programs are designed to address educational disparities, promote mental health, and strengthen community ties. We serve hundreds of children each year through in-school partnerships, after-school programs, community events, and collaborations with local service organizations.

Support from CRA-eligible institutions enables us to expand access to essential resources like art supplies, literacy materials, and safe creative spaces. Your investment directly contributes to community development by:

Self-expression in art enables individuals to tap into their authentic selves and communicate their true thoughts and feelings. It allows artists to express their individuality, perspectives, and experiences, creating work that is uniquely theirs.

Start with Art will also be collaborating with local businesses, Non profits, and other like minded individuals who have a passion to help our youth through Art.

If we are mindful in the art projects we present to our students, art is ideally set up to foster a growth mindset, which in turn will help our students navigate through their life in a spirit of constant learning
